Happy Holloween!

Just wanted to wish you all a happy and safe holloween! I chose this pics well becuase of the mustaches of course! And no, that is not just a black dot on Sedona, she had to have a stache just like her brothers. Funny, but I never took princess peach as the bearded type! Well we are all set and ready to go out and hit up a few houses. We are keeping it light this year since the kids have school tomorrow. I am hoping to be back home and have them to bed by 8. I have to make cookies for church tomorrow so I hope I can keep to this schedule! So safe travels tonight and I can't wait to see all the cute pics!
Happy Holloween~

Blessings, a few boos and some funky felts

This week has been chaos! From driving to and fro to pick up four different kids, to prepping for my workshop to AWANA's and the muggy air, PHEW! FRIDAY IS HERE!!!!

I have to say... yesterday was my workshop for our church and that was the highlight of my week, maybe even month! I am not always able to minister to the masses, with having three kids and a house to maintain most of my ministry is at home and revolves around wiping noses and making dinner. Day to day I do get individual opportunities to bless and be blessed but as far as being able to serving in a ministry @ our church, there just hasn't been an opportunity for us that we felt didn't take away from our family. Well this was perfect! I prepped kits for about 30 and I think we used 20 of them. The ladies were AWESOME too! they laughed and enjoyed themselves just as much as I did. Almost half of the ladies had never scrapbooked before, which filled my heart with joy to know that I was able to bless them with their first scrap experience. The most important message that I hope I delivered to them was just to take some time out to refresh themselves, balance home and a recreation but to know that they are worth it because their heavenly father treasures them and wants them to enjoy and maintain a healthy balanced life. I also shared with them on how I started to scrap which was through friends from our church, how they had taken me out during my time of need (while I struggled with Post Partum Depression).

Scrapbooking for me is a release I can escape to to clear my mind and renew my thoughts. It is what God has blessed me with and I hope to never take this treasure for granted. I remember when we were dealing with finding out about Sawyers diagnosis of being on the autism spectrum I scrapped just to clear my mind and deal with my emotions. I still remember working on some altered blocks right before we had to leave for his MRI and all I could do was sit there and sand the edges, over and over again. It was as if I was at my breaking point on the verge of falling apart but God held me in this moment to keep me from letting my thoughts wonder.

So although I was called to be a blessing yesterday, I was doubly blessed in return. It was awesome and I hope to get the opportunity to do so again!

next on my list is Boos~

Yup, boos. Last night we went out on a hunt. We drove around, finding unsuspecting (well, not really since we are known for booing) friends and family to Boo. Since we hadn't been booed this year we decided to start it on our own. It is a fun tradition that we do with the kids, getting treats together for friends and leaving them on their door step with instructions on how to boo their friends. We then ring their door bell and run like CRAZY! So if last night you had this pleasant package on your doorstep then yup, it was us!

Lastly, some new funky finds~

Felt. I Love it! and these new felts just caught my eye @ Jo's (Joanns for he non MB people). Embossed felt and glittery felt. only 60 cents a sheet well worth it for me! I can't wait to use these for November!

It feels nice to be back and blogging again, thanks ladies for all the well wishes and prayers, you all are truly special! THANK YOU!!!!

* well since blogger is not obliging me, there are no pics... I will try and post them once blogger and me make up.
** Ok, we made a compromise and I was allowed one pic, I will start a new topic for the other pics~

Chloe & Zoe

Are the newest members of our family. last weekend we forgot the goal bucket for soccer so James ran back home quickly while I went to the game with Jackson. It took him a LONG time to get back which is odd since we only live minutes from the field. When he did return he confessed that he had stopped by a yard sale that advertised free kittens. After the game we stopped to look at them and of course I fell in love. I am positive that James fell in love first though, otherwise he wouldn't have mentioned it to me. So here are our beautiful new babies, both girls and both precious.

burnt skies

We are surrounded by fires. Thank God our personal home is not affected. I just realized that our family's vacation home in lake arrowhead may be in the line of fire. We are not sure exactly but they have evacuated the area. Our families are safe and that is what matters. the skys are freaky! they are orange and thick. the air is horrible. the kids can't even go outside and play. we have 3 humidifiers going and it is still dry here. the soot is covering our patio and seeping inthrough the cracks. my floor shave a film of filth on them. my car is brown with soot. the only time we left today was to pick upithe kids and to go to Target to buy humidifiers. my sweet little sedona coughed the whole time.

it is disgusting!

please pray for those who are strugling with this. and that the wind goes down, it is fierce!

thanks!!!!!

keep the drama for your mama!

It ain't moving over here that's for sure!

well with that being said, I thought I would hop on here and say howdy! We have been having a great week here. my parents took the kids overnight on Saturday so me and James were able to reconnect. We had lunch on Sunday and did various odd projects around the house that we had been neglecting. I am proud to say I have been a scrapping fool! my new jewel is my alcohol inks, MAN do I love them! I have a few projects done with them that I am pretty excited about. I would post pics but apparently it is a bad day at blogger and my pics arent uploading. WAH! Oh well., SO what are all of you working on? any new projects in the works? any contests coming up? am debating about HOF. I was really amped up to do it but I can't bring myself to work for a company in such a situation. I really hope this mess gets cleaned up soon.
So if you hear of any contests coming up, let me know I am itching to get back in to the swing of things! I do have to say that @ memory trends I really enjoyed meeting all the CK staff and writers. they were awesome. Especially Brian tippets. I was really impressed with he way he handled things there. Especially when Lisa B tried to smuggle me, annie, and leslie in to the SOY banquet. I am surprised that he has been wrapped up in this.

Well on a sweet note!

Snaps to my friend Ali D and here new baby on the way! I can't wait to see here new little redheaded bundle of joy! I hope you will still be able to make it out for CHA, but if not I am sure we will catch up soon. BTW, if you haven't at least glimpsed at the CK HOF book, take a peek. I am sure above all you will LOVE what Ali has to offer, from one bowl a holic to another, thanks for your creative entry!

alright ladies, I promise to be back in action, hopefully on a daily basis now. our home PC should be back this week and be running a whole lot better. keep peeking, because I am sure to be doing something for the holidays and definitely throwing some sort of a cyber give-away for my birthday that is coming up!

thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes this past week, we are doing so much better thanks to your prayers! I am so thankful for you all!

you rock!

Overwhelmed

The last few weeks have been just that. Overwhelming. I have been for sometime trying to muster up the words to explain our situation to you all, but have never been able to get around to finishing it. Our son is on the Autism spectrum. So when I speak of all that he has overcome and all the trials that we face it is due to that. granted more of what we are going through right now is just life, but it never helps having this hanging over our heads. He was diagnosed with PDD-NOS last November. He is now a fully functioning 3 and a half year old but he is still tough to understand, and has trouble emotionally, behaviorally, and socially. If you were to see him at a park you would think nothing of it, but if you were to spend a few hours with him you would recognize it. Now by all means I am in no way degrading what he has over come. that in itself is a miracle. At the age of 2 he was non verbal and had a blank stare that glazed over his face. completely emotionless, and very irratable.

So with that being said, you can see why I have been busy. this past week he started speech again, and my daughter started speech as well. my week is filled with driving to and fro from here to there dropping off kids and then picking them up again. on top of this we have Soccer, gymnastics, and AWANA. this is where my priority lies and I wouldn't change it for the world.

this week we also decided to go organic for the family and GFCF with Sawyer. that required TONS of label reading on my part and visits to many specialty stores. I am sure that once we get the feel for it, we will be old pros.

so please excuse my absence. I wish I could scrap if even for a moment, and when I do I will for sure post it here first. But until then, please enjoy my random thoughts and life plugs that I record here.

thanks!!!

~Liz

ps, I could use some prayers too!
