Custom Crystals...

A while back I was having issues with Prima only making select colored crystals. Well I decided to get creative, and being the resourceful mama that I am I busted out the fun stuff and came up with these.




Yup, It was that simple... sharpies and clear crystals and Voila! You have custom crystals. I haven't used alcohol inks (but you know I thought of it!LOL!) but my sweet bud Trish mentioned it works fabulously!! And I must add, that I just did a quick color right on top of the crystal.

You will also notice on the card that I that I ventured into custom flowers too! Take a black and white Prima and some watercolor pencils and again, Voila! You have a one of a kind masterpiece. This flower came from the twilight tin, but I have used the artful collage flowers too. Oh and I do need to mention that the artful collage flowers look AMAZING with glimmer mist. My favorite guilty pleasure. I should also thank Trish for creating my new found addiction to these wonderful gems.

A new look...

I like to change things up every once in a while, I had some time to myself last night so, I thought I would take a break from paper and make another blog header. I am still working on the rest, but after this week my blog should be presentable. I leave for Sacramento tomorrow for hybrid training, so I may not get back till next week, but I will try and check in here and there.

Wierdness...

Something funky happened to my blog header and well it became all pixelated. When I tried to reaply my photobucket link, it said the photo was deleted. Humph! So here comes Flickr to the rescue! It is a little smaller, but for now it will work. I have been meaning to do a new one anyways!

PAD4MAY~

Our new lights out on our patio. They remind me of little hot air balloons. We have them draped diagonally crossing our patio and they give off such a beautiful glow. Last night me and James sat outside and lit the fire pit. The weather was perfect just a cool breeze. Once in a while the breeze would catch some heat from the fire and brush up against our cheeks. We sat up till about 11pm talking, drinking a little wine and eating some yummy chocolates. We even saw a little baby possum run across our wall. As cute as it was scurrying across, I couldn't help but think of just how creepy it would look in the daylight. Possums are so not my thing!!! So wee played possum and pretended not to see it, and it just ran on it's merry way.

I love our new lights!!! We even included some water misters for when the days get hotter. Our backyard is definately coming together, after a few years of hard work, it is now filling in nicely.
